Behind-the-Scenes Innovations in Java

Don’t miss Venkat Subramaniam’s presentation:

The evolution of Java Is fascinating — new features emerge every six months in a language that is getting more concise, expressive, and elegant with each release. At the same time, it’s becoming more power-packed for performance and scale. The praises can be endless, as they should be. But that’s only what makes it out of the lab and into production.

Significant innovation in Java happens behind the scenes. A casual programmer may not notice these innovations, but they contribute to a significant performance boost and prevent errors. Some features we see in Java exist in other languages, both on the JVM and outside. However, Java’s implementation of the features is either unique or simply different. In this presentation Venkat looks at the evolution of Java over the past decade, from a unique behind-the-scenes perspective to reveal techniques that support and enforce robustness and performance.

An impressive lineup of presenters

An all-star panel of influential leaders in Java development will be on hand to lead sessions, interact with attendees, and answer questions. This is a rare opportunity to have access to such an impressive list of Java luminaries.
