Challenge
- The wait times and inconsistent response times for Viking Line’s reservation portal were unacceptable during peak selling periods. Also, scalability issues led to too much downtime.
Solution
- Azul Platform Prime replaced Viking Line’s existing JVM (Java Virtual Machine).
Result
- Response times on the reservation portal are much lower and more consistent during peak periods, and the system is much more stable, allowing developers to redirect the time they’d previously spent tuning, monitoring, and testing the JVM to develop new features to further enrich the customer experience.
