Leonid Leniashin is Vice President of Engineering for Azul Systems where he’s responsible for R&D and customer support for all Azul products.
During his 25 years of engineering and operational leadership experience, Leonid has held a variety of roles at global corporations. Leonid joined Azul from Oracle in 2013 to develop the company’s flagship Java product, Zulu (Azul Platform Core), and later Azul’s disruptive Java runtime, Zing (Azul Platform Prime), distinguished for performance and cloud cost optimization.
Prior to joining Oracle, Leonid worked for Sun Microsystems, Deutsche Bank, and Motorola in a variety of engineering leadership roles building and running strong multifunctional multinational software engineering organizations delivering software for network and cellular equipment, e-trading systems, compilers, and other developer tools.
Leonid Leniashin holds a Master of Science in Mathematics with honors from the St. Petersburg State University.
